David is an educational media business executive who has led strategy, business development, and the creation of programmatic curricular resources at all grades PreK-12, often from global sources. Particularly in the early grades, his work has cut across consumer and school markets. He led the product development fueling the growth of Harcourt’s supplemental group (Rigby et al.); Scholastic’s classroom book business; and the launch of Learn360.com as an alternative streaming media service to state and district providers. His consulting work in this decade involved helping Amplify and all three nonprofits awarded large grants by EngageNY take their Common Core OER curriculum into commercial applications. Returning to active management at nonprofit HITN, David addresses his enduring interests in video/multi-media; bringing ethnic and racial diversity to the development of learning resources (he chairs SIIA ETIN’s Diversity Committee); and addressing the needs of ELLs.
