Megan is the founder and chief executive officer of MIDAS Education. As a teacher, Megan saw a problem and set out to solve it. In her classes, Megan had trouble reaching struggling students because education was focused on compliance and not instruction. Siloed data systems, time-bound curriculum plans, and standardized assessments made it nearly impossible to give every child the individual attention he or she deserved. Megan holds a master’s degree in Technology, Innovation, and Education as well as a bachelor’s degree, cum laude, in English and computer science from Harvard University. She has previously managed developers at Microsoft, taught students and teachers, consulted with district administrators to solve business problems, and conducted neurodegenerative research. Megan has spent 30,000 hours researching and developing the MIDAS platform.
